What to Expect

The first few sessions will focus on getting to know you, gathering information about your current problems and concerns, and discussing goals for therapy. By the end of the evaluation, we will develop a individualized treatment plan that addresses your goals for therapy. Learn more about my approach to therapy here.

Our early work also helps us determine whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a strong fit — an essential part of meaningful progress.

Session Format & Fees

Length: 50 minutes
Fee: $400 per session

Extended sessions and specialized assessment services are available as clinically indicated.

A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available.

Telehealth Services

I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant video appointments for clients located in:

  • California
  • Florida

Due to licensure regulations, clients must be physically located in one of these states at the time of each session.

Insurance

I do not participate in insurance panels and am considered an out-of-network provider.

Many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy services. Upon request, I provide a monthly superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

If you plan to seek reimbursement, I recommend contacting your insurance carrier in advance to inquire about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

Clients are responsible for full payment at the time of service.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Accepted forms of payment include credit card and check.

Because appointment times are reserved specifically for you, cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee.

Medicare Policy

I have formally opted out of Medicare. If you are eligible for Medicare and choose to pursue treatment with me, you will be required to sign a private contract acknowledging full financial responsibility for services.

Patient Rights & Federal Protections (No Surprise Act)

You are protected under federal law from unexpected “surprise” or balance billing in certain medical situations. Additional information about your rights under the No Surprises Act is available upon request.

If you believe you have been billed incorrectly, you may contact the California Department of Insurance.
